House of Fraser Spring Wish List

House of Fraser Wish List

House of Fraser Wish List by missjadebd featuring a striped skirt

Here in Brighton it has really started to feel like Spring. Although it's still chilly, it has been so sunny, with clear skies over the past week and I've been taking full advantage of living my a beach and enjoying the weather. This inspired me, with the help of House of Fraser, to create a Spring outfit wish list for this transitional 'still cold but slightly sunny' weather.

I was previously unaware of the plethora of brands on offer at House of Fraser, from high end to high street. I was able to create an entire outfit plus beauty products all from one site, which is a huge convenience. Also I was introduced to some brands I hadn't heard of before, but also found items  I really liked from brands I usually look over and I assumed they wouldn't have anything to suit my style, like Diesel and Superdry. I was pleasantly mistaken.

Despite it warming up, nothing will ever stop me from wearing all black everything. Pairing a floaty pleated skirt and a lose fit tee is one of my favourite looks for this season. I love the graphic on the Diesel t-shirt, the combination of the butterfly and the skulls is a great juxtaposition. Paired with a leather jacket and some Dr. Martens to tackle the intermittent cloud and wind, plus the chunky boots  would help to walk on the pebbled beach! I didn't actually know that Docs were sold in House of Fraser, so I was pleasantly surprised to find them on their ankle boot section, which you can check out here

I'm hoping to be getting a tax rebate shortly, and I have my eye on this Vivienne Westwood purse. I'd also add this Label Lab Alena backpack (I couldn't find a good picture of Polyvore on which I made the above image) as its practical and still looks great - and it's black, obviously.

In terms of beauty, although it's customary to change your beauty look each season, I never stray too far from my regular look. I'm not a huge fan of dewy skin that seems to always be trending in the summer months , however I've heard really good things about Nars 'Sheer Glow' foundation. I know that they do have a very light shade that may even match my ghostly skin! It's also apparently good for dry to very dry skin, although I would definitely add MAC's 'Prep + Prime Face Protect' underneath as it gets sunnier, as it's SPF 50. Although considered more of an Autumn / Winter shade, I've been lusting after MAC's 'Sin' lipstick for ages plus I pretty much always have black nail, although usually more Barry M than Coco Chanel!

Despite having a penchant for all things dark, and Autumn / Winter being my favourite seasons - not only for fashion and beauty - this year I'm really excited for Spring / Summer, perhaps because it'll be my first of these seasons living in Brighton.
