After attending the Rare London press day at the incredibly unique venue 'Bounce', a ping-pong bar, with my blogging buddy Millie from She Hearts The High Street, the lovely press team at Rare London offered to send me an item of my choice. As an avid fan of the horror genre, perhaps due to my birthday falling a mere one day before Halloween, and self-professed lover of all things a bit macabre and dark, I have been on the hunt for a perfect 'Wednesday Addams' style dress. Fortunately, Rare London make a fantastic monochrome dress that is incredibly reminiscent of the iconic costume. The black shift dress with contrasting white collar, cuff and button details is the perfect balance between referencing Wednesday Addams, while not looking like you're dressing up for a Halloween party! The shift style of the dress is super flattering, it's slim fitting enough for you not to resemble a circus tent. It's a great day-to-night dress, however here I have styled it more casually. Pairing it with matte white Dr. Marten shoes, a striped satchel, cute frilly socks and a bowler hat, with a vintage Levi's denim jacket thrown on top, I feel the outfit balances the inevitable schoolgirl look with harder, edgier elements to make it less costume and more casual.
